Pretty in Pink? Honeysuckle is the Pantone 2011 Color of the Year.
Pantone, the global authority on color and the provider of professional color standards for design professionals, has announced the vibrant and energetic hue Honeysuckle (PANTONE® 18-2120 Honeysuckle) as the Color of the Year for 2011. Honeysuckle is a dynamic blend of red and pink, inspiring confidence and courage.
The company points to the need for uplifting spirits during stressful times as one of the reasons for this year’s choice.
“In times of stress, we need something to lift our spirits. Honeysuckle is a captivating, stimulating color that gets the adrenaline going – perfect to ward off the blues,” explains Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. “Honeysuckle derives its positive qualities from a powerful bond to its mother color red, the most physical, viscerally alive hue in the spectrum.”
Where could you use honeysuckle in your whole home remodel? A dark hallway would benefit from a burst of colorful energy, or one wall painted with the shade in a family room, bathroom or kitchen could add spirited flair to a space. Ask our professional design team for ideas, or share yours with us!
