In this home a mother and daughter share, the original kitchen was dark, bland and cramped. The kitchen was relocated to create a more expansive space open to the rest of the home. The island, a pop of classic blue, is ideal for inviting friends over for afternoon tea, a favorite activity for the Scotland-born mother. Timeless tradition is now married with a modern approach.
