PROJECT SUMMARY
A professional couple with an appetite for glamorous entertaining wanted a more inviting kitchen to welcome large groups of friends and family. The clients are colorful and fun and wanted this spirit reflected in their home. They wanted to live in modern surroundings with an emphasis on round shapes rather than straight lines and angles. A circular sparkling chandelier hanging from a metallic silver ceiling is the first thing one sees upon entering the house, immediately establishing a mood of excitement and glamour. The dining area, kitchen and bar are in an expansive living area defined by sweeping vaulted ceilings. An extra large island delineates the kitchen area, punctuated by a striking designer hood. The room glitters with purple, silver and charcoal hues. At the far end of the kitchen, a seductively lit bar opens to the backyard where the clients frequently entertain poolside. Throughout the expansive area, careful attention to lighting, materials and space planning creates a sense of intimacy and welcoming warmth.
