PROJECT SUMMARY
This kitchen in a mountaintop retreat is open to a dramatic great room and an expansive outdoor living space, in a serene escape encompassing breathtaking views. Bold architecture, luxurious materials, and sculptural lighting create an artistry that harmonizes with the natural surroundings of green hills, blue skies, and open space. The clients love to cook, entertain and share the beautiful natural setting of their home.
They wanted an out of the ordinary kitchen with uncommon materials and bold scale. The kitchen was designed so that each wall has its own strong element. Meticulous craftsmanship is evident in the blackened steel framing of the custom cabinetry and intricate tile mosaics. The extraordinary hood is a custom design crafted from stainless steel, polished nickel, and blackened steel. The design carefully balances human scale with functionality and multiple large appliances in an expansive space with awe-inspiring views.
