PROJECT SUMMARY

The home on this abandoned lot had been repossessed when our client, a developer, was inspired to buy it to create something truly unique. He wanted to take the bones of the building and reshape them into an ultra-modern urban loft where he could express his passion for contemporary design and city living. It was important to him to work with a design team, as he wanted nothing ordinary about the aesthetics of the home.

The existing structure was framed about 80%. Approximately 15% of the structure had to be dismantled, then re-framed and re-sheeted. We transformed the bare shell of this abandoned home into a 1900 square foot, three-story showcase of modern design with a 900 square foot rooftop deck. What once looked like a symbol of urban blight has been elevated to a modern, luxurious, downtown loft filled with the latest technology and newest trends, and infused with a hip urban vibe. The new home contributes to the revitalization of the neighborhood and more than fulfills the client’s desires, beyond his original dreams.
